India DDoS Protection — In-Region Scrubbing at the Singapore Edge

Protect any server, game host or network serving India at the Singapore scrubbing edge — the nearest major anycast site to Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru. Self-serve GRE / VXLAN / WireGuard tunnels or real BGP sessions, sub-second detection, and floods absorbed before they reach your Indian uplink. Free trial, per-hour billing, from $25/mo.

Quick Answer

DDoS protection for India works by routing your traffic through Sucura's Singapore scrubbing edge — the nearest in-region site to the subcontinent, so mitigation happens in Asia instead of backhauling to a US or European scrubbing center. A GRE, VXLAN or WireGuard tunnel, or a real BGP session, carries your traffic to Singapore, where floods are detected in sub-second time and filtered before they can saturate your Indian uplink. Typical added latency runs roughly 35-65ms depending on your city and carrier — we won't tell you it's zero, because for a deep-India origin it isn't.

Why Route India Through Singapore

Backhauling your traffic to a distant scrubbing center in the US or Europe can add 150-250ms. Singapore is the nearest major scrubbing edge to India, so mitigation happens in-region instead.

Nearest In-Region Edge

Singapore sits closer to Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru than any Sucura scrubbing site in North America or Europe, cutting the distance a flood has to travel before it's filtered.

Self-Service BGP

Announce your own IP space (BYOIP) to AS398999, or take a protected IP over a tunnel — deployed yourself in the Nexus panel, no sales call required.

Free Trial

Spin up a protected tunnel on a trial and move it to a paid subscription in place — no teardown, no long-term contract.

Per-Hour Billing

Pay by the hour or $0.05/GB scrubbed, in transparent USD pricing, not a quote-gated enterprise minimum.

How India Protection Works

Two ways to route your India traffic through the Singapore scrubbing edge — both self-service in the Nexus panel.

GRE / VXLAN / WireGuard tunnel

Terminate a protected tunnel from our Singapore edge to your origin server, whether it's hosted in India, Singapore or anywhere else. You get a clean, protected IP, and attack traffic is filtered before it reaches you.

BGP session + BYOIP

Announce your own /24 to AS398999. Inbound traffic bound for your Indian users routes through our Singapore scrubbing network first, and clean traffic returns to your origin over the tunnel. IRR and RPKI aware.

Layer 3 / 4 / 7 mitigation

Volumetric SYN/UDP/ICMP floods are dropped at the edge; application-layer (L7) abuse — including login-flood and credential-stuffing patterns common against Indian fintech and e-commerce sites — is filtered with protocol-aware rules.

Game-server ready

BGMI, Valorant, Free Fire and Minecraft servers with Indian player bases stay online under attack. Protocol-aware filtering keeps real players connected while flood traffic is dropped at the edge.

One Anycast Network — Toronto · Singapore · Frankfurt

Singapore is the APAC anchor of a three-continent anycast anti-DDoS network. Traffic bound for your Indian users and servers routes to Singapore, North America routes to Toronto, and Europe routes to Frankfurt — a volumetric flood is absorbed and spread across all sites instead of hammering one link.

Built for India

India is one of the most heavily targeted markets for DDoS activity worldwide — the goal is to keep mitigation close instead of routing every flood across an ocean first.

Nearest major scrubbing edge

Singapore is closer to Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru than any other Sucura scrubbing site, over the same regional submarine cable corridor — including systems like SEA-ME-WE-6 and the FLAG Chennai-Singapore route — that already carries the bulk of India-to-Southeast-Asia traffic.

Honest about the hairpin

We won't claim a tunnel to Singapore lowers your ping — for a deep-India origin it typically adds one, in the tens of milliseconds. What it buys you is in-region mitigation instead of a 150-250ms round trip to a US or European scrubbing center.

Built for India's threat mix

Gaming, fintech and e-commerce are consistently among the most-targeted sectors in India. Whether it's a BGMI server or a payments API, floods are filtered upstream before they saturate the link your real users depend on.

Self-serve, real network

Not a quote-gated enterprise product. Deploy tunnels and BGP yourself over our own AS398999 network, and reach real people when you need help.

India DDoS Protection FAQ

Common questions about routing India traffic through the Singapore scrubbing edge.

Where is my traffic scrubbed if I'm hosting in India?

Sucura scrubs India traffic at the Singapore edge — the nearest major anycast scrubbing site to the subcontinent. Once you're on a protected tunnel or announcing via BGP, inbound traffic is filtered at Singapore before clean traffic is delivered back to your origin, wherever in India it sits.

Will DDoS protection add latency for users in India?

It can, and we'd rather be upfront about that than promise otherwise. Because scrubbing happens at Singapore rather than inside India, a tunnel from a deep-India origin adds a real hairpin — typically around 35-65ms over regional submarine cable routes, depending on your city and carrier (Chennai generally sees a shorter path than Mumbai or Delhi-NCR). In exchange you get in-region mitigation instead of a backhaul to a US or European scrubbing center, which would typically add 150-250ms on top. Latency is lowest when your origin sits near Singapore already or when you are announcing Indian IP space over BGP rather than tunneling from far inland — actual numbers vary by route and we do not guarantee a fixed figure.

Can I protect a BGMI, Valorant or Minecraft server for Indian players?

Yes. Battle royale and competitive titles are some of the most frequently attacked services we see, and BGMI, Valorant, Free Fire and Minecraft servers with Indian or regional player bases are a common use case. Terminate a protected tunnel to your game server or announce your IP via BGP, and L3/L4 floods and L7 abuse are filtered before they reach it.

Do I need Indian IP space or my own ASN to use this?

No. You can announce your own /24 via BGP (BYOIP) to AS398999 if you already hold IP space, or simply take a protected IP from us over a GRE, VXLAN or WireGuard tunnel. Neither option requires an Indian-registered ASN or Indian IP space, and both are self-service from the Nexus panel regardless of where your origin server is hosted.

How does routing work relative to carriers like Jio and Airtel?

Jio, Airtel and BSNL are simply the networks most Indian users and players connect through — they are the last-mile carriers on the eyeball side, not part of our routing path. What matters for protection is your origin server's own connection into our tunnel or BGP session; how your end users reach the internet through their own carrier is a separate routing detail that does not change how the tunnel or BGP session works.

What does it cost, and is pricing in USD?

Yes, all pricing is in USD. Plans start at $25/mo for 100 Mbps of clean capacity and scale to $500/mo for 5 Gbps, with usage-based scrubbing at $0.05 per GB. Billing can run per-hour, and a free trial is available before you move to a paid subscription.

Does scrubbing my traffic in Singapore create a data-residency or RBI / CERT-In compliance problem?

For most workloads — gaming, e-commerce, SaaS and media — no. DDoS scrubbing filters traffic in transit at the network layer and does not store your data, so routing through our Singapore edge adds no data-residency burden. If you run RBI- or SEBI-regulated financial systems, your compliance team may require certain traffic inspection or logging to stay within India; in that case you can announce your own Indian IP space to us over BGP so filtering sits inline in front of your origin, or use our edge only to absorb large volumetric floods upstream while your in-country stack handles inspection. Tell us your requirement and we will map the routing that fits — we will not pretend an offshore edge suits a workload it does not.

What attack capacity can you mitigate?

2 Tbps+ of scrubbing capacity across our global anycast network with sub-second (under 1s) detection and mitigation. Frankfurt, Singapore and Toronto anchor the three-continent footprint, with Singapore handling traffic to and from India.
